This and apparently all of the six audio programs in the author's Inner Master Series use mindfulness of the present moment (vipassana) as the basic therapeutic tool--in this example to promote the type of intense relaxation that helps people fall asleep. The two short meditations on the audio involve breathing exercises and vivid instructions to focus on releasing tension from specific parts of the body. It's a visceral, nonintellectual approach to insomnia, so it might not help if it's a difficult marriage or job stress that's keeping you awake. The author's voice is exceptionally well-suited for this kind of audio--smooth, gentle, and curiously well-connected to her listeners.     -  AudioFile Magazine
